Abstract

Institution based cross-sectional study design was conducted in in Arba Minch Town and Arba Minch Zuria Woreda. The dependent variable is Knowledge, Attitude and practice of health workers on cholera outbreak preparedness and the independent variables: Sociodemographic factors (Age, Sex, Highest educational qualification, Discipline, Marital status, Working experience, Residency), Health institution Related Factors (Number of trained staffs, pharmaceutical supply related, Laboratory equipment’s related), Communication Related Factors (Communications with community members, Communications with local and governmental bodies, Communications channels of reporting case related, Inter professional communications). The source population are health care workers mainly doctors, nurse, health officer, medical laboratory and Health extension workers. The sample size was 260 clients and simple random sampling technique was used. SPSS software was used for data entry and analysis and the model used was logistic regression. The study period was from February 25 to April 25, 2024
