Abstract

This community-based cross-sectional study was conducted in Arba Minch town, Gamo Zone. The dependent variable is male involvement in Antenatal care service and the independent variable: Socio-demographic Factors (age, education level, number of children, occupation, HH income, family size), Partner related factors (knowledge of ANC and Attitude towards to ANC), Socio -Cultural factors (spousal communication and decision making power), Health service and information related factors ----- (Approach of health care provider, payment for service, and opening time, distance from health facility, health professional’s attitude).The source population are all men in the study area, who were married or had ever been married and their wife had at least one history of pregnancy. The sample size was 420 clients and simple random sampling technique was used. SPSS software was used for data entry and analysis and the model used was logistic regression. The study period was from September 1to 30, 2024.
