| Abstract | The dataset determinants of repeated induced abortion among reproductive age women seeking post-abortion care in selected hospitals of Addis Ababa Ethiopia: unmatched case-control study is generated for partial fulfilments of the requirements for the degree of master of public health in reproductive health, research thesis submitted to the department of public health, Yekatit 12 hospital medical college in 2022. The objective is to assess the determinants of repeated induced abortions among women of reproductive age groups seeking abortion care services in selected public and private hospitals From June 1- July 7 2022 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The hospital-based unmatched case-control study design was conducted among women of reproductive age groups and covers selected public and private hospitals From June 1- July 7 2022 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Major variables and indicators include Socio-demographic and economic characteristics: Age, Educational status, Parity, gravidity, Occupation, Religion, Family income status, marital status, gestational age and Residence, Contraceptive practices-Pre and post-abortion counselling, used and type of FP and Fertility intentions (the desire or intent to have a certain number of children and the desired or intended spacing between births). Reproductive health characteristics-Rape, age at first intercourse, age at first Married, Sexual and reproductive health history and Sexually Transmitted Infections and HIV/AIDS. Behavioural factors-substance abuse variables, risky sexual behaviour (sexual debut, Commercial sex workers and the number of sexual partners), measurement is written in operational definition with reference and Gender-based violence-Physical, psychological and sexual violence. The Data were coded and entered into EPI Data Version 3.1 and then exported to SPSS Version 25 statistical software for analysis. |

The sample size is determined using Open Epi info version 7.2 statistical software package using the formula for unmatched case-control and by considering the proportion of women among controls exposed and case, mothers having abortion-related characteristics on the reason for family planning is not effective among controls is (5.9%) and case(17.1%) (Main exposure variable which is estimated from a study performed in selected public hospitals in Mekelle, Tigray region: 95% CI, 80% power of the Study and control to case ratio of 2:1 with 3.28 odds ratio gives a sample size of 306. The Data were coded and entered into EPI Data Version 3.1 and then exported to SPSS Version 25 statistical software for analysis. |
