| Description | This dataset was produced by Save the Children in 2020 and conducted in 25 health facilities at the national level among selected regions and city administrations, namely Oromia, Amhara, Somali, and Dire Dawa. The survey was aimed to assess the readiness of health facilities for COVID-19. This dataset captures information on health facility Information & Infrastructure specifically the type of facility, host community population in the catchment area of this facility, inpatient capacity of the facility, number of adult male inpatient beds, number of adult female inpatient beds, number of paediatric inpatient beds, number of maternity inpatient beds, number of other inpatient beds, the laboratory capacity at this facility, source of power for this facility, source of water for this facility, way of medical waste disposal, availability of functional incinerator at this facility, types of latrines currently available for patients, availability of separate latrines for men and women, number of latrines which are available for patients/clients, the cleanliness of latrines, the hours of operation for the facility, the distance from referral facility, common mode of transport for referrals, the distance from nearest testing site for Covid-19, mode of transport for referrals to the testing site, fees associated with being tested for Covid-19, the distance from isolation for patients with Covid-19, mode of transport for referrals to the isolation cente, Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) focal point, COVID-19 preparedness plan developed for this facility, plan to monitor and track COVID-19, plan for auditing or investigating the main source of exposure, protocol for the evaluation and diagnosis, plan for effective risk communication, triage, Screening, standardized screening questionnaires and algorithms appropriately applied to everyone entering the health facility. Additionally, continuity of essential health services and patient care/Do health workers have appropriate and adequate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure continuity of essential health services at this moment, Infection Prevention and Control, the availability of consumables, Medical Equipment, and Supplies/Respirator masks), education and training/notes on Covid-19 training needs were assessed. |
