Abstract

The rapid assessment of COVID-19 in Addis Ababa was conducted from January 8/ 2020 to June 23/2020 by MERQ consultancy in collaboration with MOH. The study was a cross-sectional assessment survey conducted in all sub-cities of Addis Ababa. The study contains six major components namely: funeral sites, data from edir sites, verbal Autopsy, facility patient death, patient chart review, and data from referred patients for covid testing. A total of 25389 clients were involved in the study and have a total of 353 variables. Patient demographic variables, health facility location and characteristics, patient referral information, patient death-related variables, and information related to edir characteristics were the major variables involved in this study.
